Color Me Fearless 5K for Girls On The Run
June 2, 2018
The Color Me Fearless 5k will benefit the Girls on the Run program in the Wood River Valley. Miles will be marked with paint stations to add some good ol' fun to run running a 5k. Come enjoy a beautiful course and get colored while supporting the Girls on the Run organization. Other activities include: Live music food vendors, health related vendors, and bubble ball fun! Sawtooth Relay
June 9, 2018
The Sawtooth Relay is an annual running relay that covers 61.9 miles with 12 legs. Teams of 6 begin the race in Stanley and finish in Ketchum with an after party including food, drinks and live music in the park. The relay offers a wide range of team types including but not limited to a men’s and women’s open, a coed open, and high school teams. Learn more here »

Sun Valley Wellness Festival
June 29-July 2, 2018
For two decades the renowned Sun Valley Wellness Festival has inspired thousands of people to live healthier lives, and features some of the world’s foremost wellness speakers. Hailey Days of the Old West Celebration
July 1-4, 2018
Hailey, Idaho offers up perhaps the most quintessential hometown 4th of July celebration in the west. Each year Hailey Days of the Old West plays host to the exciting Sawtooth Rangers Rodeo, a fun & unique parade on Main Street with colorful entries and plenty of horses, a shoot-out melodrama, a spectacular fireworks display, pancake breakfasts, lots of live music, antique markets and the new Draper Preserve River Festival. Ballet Sun Valley
July 17-18, 2018

Sun Valley Tour De Force
July 26-28, 2018
Sun Valley Tour de Force delivers high speeds, supercars, professional safety crews, hosted sponsor events and top luxury brands to car fans of all ages. It is a weekend of epic proportions. Drivers travel from all over the country to put their machines to the ultimate test on a closed stretch of Highway 75, affectionately called Phantom Hill. Hundreds of spectators share this experience of a lifetime from shaded seating while enjoying concessions and dishes from local restaurants. Ride Idaho - North Idaho Dream Route
August 4-11, 2018
Ride Idaho is an annual, seven-day, fully supported, cycling tour. The tour is organized and administered by Ride Idaho, a non-profit organization. Ride Idaho showcases our beautiful state by offering diverse, scenic, and fun routes each year. Idaho's landscape is a mix of geographical elements so you may be wowed with tall mountain ranges, rolling farm lands, breezy prairies, or rocky deserts. This diverse landscape is tied together with over 3,000 river miles, more than any other state in the lower 48. Learn more here »

Standhope Ultra Challenge
August 9-11
A four day, 83 mile point-to-point stage race through the mountains on August 18th-20th, 2016, going along with previous year’s 60K and 25K. This is not a beginner-level ultra. The race peaks out at 11,000 feet over rough terrain and passes along the shores of Goat Lake, the highest lake in Idaho. Entrants will be rewarded with a truly breathtaking mountain run. The 50th Annual Sun Valley Center Arts & Crafts Festival
August 10-12, 2018
The Sun Valley Center Arts and Crafts Festival is an outdoor juried fine arts and crafts show which features numerous crafts including ceramics, fiber, drawing, glass, jewelry, metalwork, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, toys, woodworking and 2 and 3-D mixed media art. Live music, artist demonstrations, food vendors, a kid’s area and educational programs also run throughout the weekend. Admission is free. Learn more here »

Wood River Valley Studio Tour
August 18-19, 2018
Brilliantly illuminating the creative talent in the Sun Valley region, the sixth annual Wood River Valley Studio Tour opens the doors of professional artists’ studios to the general public Saturday, August 18th and Sunday, 19th. Visitors from near and far travel by car, bicycle or on foot on self-guided adventures, exploring artists’ working sanctuaries throughout the Wood River Valley. Extending from Bellevue in the south end of the valley to Ketchum in the north and all parts in between, visitors enjoy the rare experience of being in the environments where art is created while getting acquainted with the makers and gaining a close-up view of the materials and media artists employ. Rebecca's Private Idaho
August 30-September 2, 2018
Professional bike racer and one of the world's top endurance athletes Rebecca Rusch (known as "The Queen of Pain") founded this bike event that borrows from the gran fondo trend, but with Idaho style. It’s a long-haul gravel grinder meant to showcase the beautiful scenery and quad-cracking climbs of her chosen home turf. Grab your bike, get in some training time and come join us over Labor Day Weekend. Rebecca’s Private Idaho benefits three great organizations that mean a lot to Rebecca: The Wood River Bike Coalition,, and World Bicycle Relief. Wagon Days
August 31-September 3, 2018
Come to Main Street and watch the largest parade in the country without motorized vehicles (on Saturday). Basque dancers, marching bands and western cowboys travel by horse, mule or foot – anything goes as long as there is no motor. Baldy Hill Climb

The running, hiking and biking challenge offers “One Big Mountain, Five Awesome Events.” The course for runners and hikers spans 1.86 miles and 3,140 vertical feet from the bottom of Warm Springs to the summit of Bald Mountain at 9,020 feet. There are two mountain biking events, the Baldy Bike Hill Climb and Cheeso Double in which competitors complete the mountain bike race and Hill Climb. The bike course is the Cold Springs mountain bike trail featuring an elevation gain of 2,600 vertical feet over nine miles. Learn more here »

Trailing of the Sheep Festival
October 10-14, 2018
The Trailing of the Sheep Festival, started in 1996, has been named one of the Top Ten Fall Festivals in the World. In response to the rapid loss of farms and ranches and the rapid growth in the Wood River Valley, the Festival was created to preserve the stories and colorful history of sheep ranchers and herders, and celebrate the rich cultures of the past and present. The festival entertains and educates children, adults and families about the production of local food and fiber that sustain local economies and generations of hard-working families.
