Each year SVGA hosts seven gallery walks (exhibition openings for all SVGA galleries), which are eagerly anticipated and free to the public. 7/9 - The Robert Cray Band
Robert Cray is one of the biggest names on the modern blues scene. He has created a sound that rises from American roots and arrives today both fresh and familiar. In just over 40 years Cray and his band have recorded 20 studio releases, 15 of which have been on the Billboard charts, and played bars, concert halls, festivals and arenas around the world. 7/11 - 2019 Hemingway Distinguished Lecture
Terry Tempest Williams, a writer who has charted a new course for environmental writing and the literature of the American West, will deliver The Community Library’s 3rd annual Hemingway Distinguished Lecture. Williams has been called a “citizen writer” and is a passionate advocate for freedom of speech. She also is a gifted teacher, serving most recently as writer-in-residence at the Harvard Divinity School. Learn More »

The 39th Annual Backcountry Run presented by The Mill SV. The course is a grueling romp through the Adams Gulch and Fox Creek trail areas near the Sun Valley Idaho ski area. The Future We Want: Transforming Leadership, Accelerating Innovation and Unlocking Imagination
The Sun Valley Institute's fifth annual Sun Valley Forum will gather several hundred leaders and luminaries, trailblazers, and change-makers from across the globe for three days together to accelerate action toward a healthy, equitable, and resilient world. Each year the Forum sparks new cross-sector collaborations, mobilizes capital towards promising ideas and inspires uncommon thinking. Attendees span leaders and innovators from business, government, investment, advocacy, the food system and energy, sports and entertainment, academia, the arts, and philanthropy. Claiming Our Future: Youth Action for a Resilient World
The Sun Valley Institute’s inaugural Youth Forum will parallel the Annual Forum; a conference that gathers approximately 200-250 national and international leaders and innovators from investment, policy, business, nonprofits, sports, entertainment, and academia to share strategies, broaden thinking, and ignite new partnerships with a goal of building greater resilience. The Sun Valley Youth Forum will bring together like-minded students from around the nation who will investigate complex problems over a three-day intensive retreat. The goal of the Youth Forum is twofold: first, to inspire the next generation of leaders to discuss radical new ideas around sustainability and second, to create a network of the next generation of empowered change makers unafraid to use their voices in the face of an uncertain future. Sun Valley Tour de Force is a weekend of epic proportions! At the Friday evening Sun Valley Tour de Force Car Show up to 200 cars gather on the closed streets surrounding Ketchum Town Square. Exotics, vintage as well as cars participating in Saturday’s high-speed event will be on display, offering an excellent preview and photo opportunity for guests.
