Alternative Air Service Routes

• Fly into Twin Falls Airport (TWI), 90 miles south of Sun Valley, served by Delta/Skywest.
• Fly into Idaho Falls (IDA), 150 miles east of Sun Valley, served by Delta/Skywest, Allegiant Air and United Express.
• Private on-demand charter flights are available through Jackson Jet Center and Sun Valley Air Club.

While Tamarack Lodge does not provide a shuttle service, a number of reliable local transportation companies are available. You can find a complete list of shuttle options at iflysun.com.

We encourage guests to plan transportation ahead of time, as rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are limited in the valley.

From Boise

Daily shuttles from Boise are available on the Sun Valley Express (twice daily) and will take visitors directly to Sun Valley. Also, the Salt Lake City airport is just 4.5 hours away.

Mountain Ride Buses

Getting around Sun Valley is refreshingly simple with no rental car required. Mountain Rides offers a free, clean, and convenient public transit system connecting Ketchum, Sun Valley, and the greater Wood River Valley. Bus stops are located just steps outside Tamarack Lodge.

With multiple “Around Town” routes in both summer and winter, you’ll have easy access to Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain, Sun Valley Resort, Ketchum Town Square, River Run, Warm Springs, and dozens of additional stops. Buses run frequently; many routes arrive every 15 minutes during peak times.

All buses are equipped with exterior ski and snowboard racks in winter and bike racks in summer, so you can bring your adventure along for the ride.
