Centered in the heart of downtown Ketchum, the Tamarack Lodge has long been a go-to destination for vacationers and explorers searching for an authentic, laid-back lodging experience. Seeking to remain approachable and familiar, the Tamarack Lodge began a two-phase design refresh in the fall of 2018. Phase 1 of the refresh was completed prior to the start of the Winter 2018/2019 season and Phase 2 was completed in October of 2022. The new design refresh not only enhances the current design of the Lodge, but brings to light a new sophisticated sensibility by enhancing the Tamarack Lodge’s great architectural structure with tailored yet durable finishes. These new finishes enhance the Tamarack Lodge as a local destination for spending time, settling in and encourage exploration.

This refresh maintains all of the Tamarack’s classic architectural elements while embracing a modernized lodge appearance. Taking design inspiration not only from the tree of our namesake, a hearty and utilitarian, but beautifully colorful and textural tree, but also exemplifying the inherent beauty from surrounding Ketchum and Sun Valley, the new design reflects the Sun Valley area’s genuine uniqueness. Tasteful re-use of existing furniture pieces and new outdoor furniture lend themselves to the authentic nature of an established lodge, while the thoughtful use of environmentally friendly materials and the additions of new wood mill-work and saturated finishes create a cozy space for adventurers to relax and unwind.
